An everyday walking harness with two leash points, built to go on and come off in seconds.
The Blacktop is the harness for the walk you do every day. Four quick-release buckles mean it never has to go over your dog's head, and five adjustment points — two at the shoulders, two at the chest, one at the belly — let you set the fit once and leave it. 1050D nylon, padded and mesh-lined through the chest, with a grab handle across the shoulders.
It has two metal leash points and they do different jobs. The ring on the chest turns your dog back towards you when it pulls, which is the one to clip to while you are still working on that. The ring on the back is for a loose, relaxed walk once you are not. Velcro and webbing panels on the flanks take standard morale patches — the Quarry Claw patch fits them.
The grab handle is for steadying and close control. Our supplier publishes no load rating for it, so we won't publish one either — don't use it to lift or hoist your dog's full weight, and don't use this harness for restraint work.
Blacktop or Ridgeline?
They are two different jobs, not two tiers. The Blacktop is the everyday walking harness: lighter, quick on and off, and the only one of the two with leash rings. The Ridgeline MOLLE Harness is a load carrier — heavier, with full MOLLE panels down both flanks so your dog can carry its own kit on a hike. Walking the dog: this one. Dog carries the gear: that one.

Measure your dog. Don't guess from weight — see how to measure a dog for a harness. Girth is the measurement that sizes a harness: put a soft tape around the widest part of the ribcage, just behind the front legs, with the dog standing.

Two honest gaps in our supplier's chart, since you'll spot them yourself. The L girth range starts at the same 28" as M, which makes L swallow M whole — we think 35" was intended, but we won't print a number the supplier didn't give us, so between M and L go by back length instead. And the XL neck range stops shorter than L's, which is the wrong way round. The supplier also publishes a dog-weight column and we have left it out on purpose: it lists S as "below 30 kg" and M as "15–30 kg", which cannot both be true. Girth sizes a harness, not weight. Covered for one year
Defects in materials and workmanship are covered for a year from delivery — we replace or refund, and we pay the shipping. Chewing, digging, normal wear and misuse aren't covered, because no gear survives a dog that's decided to eat it.
Shipping and returns
Free shipping on U.S. orders $70+. If something isn't right, email us within 30 days — in most cases we'll refund you without asking you to ship anything back. If it arrives damaged, defective or wrong, send us a photo and we'll replace it or refund you in full.
