It collapses from 259 mm down to 215 mm for a pack pocket, weighs 200 g empty, and the cap locks so it doesn't quietly empty itself into your bag.

It's a walk and day-hike bottle, not a water supply. On a hot full-day route you will refill it, so plan the day around a water source rather than around the bottle.
